Laura Hopkins

Founder

Laura discovered her love of filmmaking at age 10, making horror films with her sisters (and plenty of ketchup bottles for fake blood).

After earning her B.A. in Film Production & Communications, she honed her cinematography skills filming and editing weddings, commercials, and live productions — but she was always most excited to capture dance.

While working with dancers, Laura noticed a clear need: studios and performers required visuals that reflected their skill, artistry, and the unique demands of dance. As a former dancer herself, she understood that dance photography & videography is different than other types of production and requires a distinct set of skills, systems, and practices. She founded In Season Studios to bridge that gap, combining professional production standards with a focus on dancers and their needs.

Laura’s promise is straightforward: to put dancers first. Every project is approached with respect for the craft, respect for the process, and a commitment to delivering polished, elevated imagery that supports both the dancer and the studio.
